Inspection Process

Step 1: External Inspection

A detailed examination of the property exterior to identify defects that may cause water ingress or timber damage.
Areas inspected include:
- Chimney.
- Drainpipes and gutters.
- Ground levels and sub-floor ventilation.

Step 2: Damp-Proof Course Check

Confirm if the property has a damp-proof course in place.
Check for alterations to ground levels that may cause bridging of the damp-proof course.

Step 3: Internal Inspection

Inspect internal walls for dampness.
Where accessible, lift floorboards to examine the condition of the timber underneath.

Comprehensive Reporting

After completing the inspection, Pro-Trade provides

A fully detailed report outlining the condition of the property.
Information on any remedial work required.
